Let’s start from the initial problem.
Windows7 (W7) does not show all icons in the system tray by default. Of course, you can easily configure each the icon visibility separately, but by defaults the icons (including the W7FC icon) are hidden. But no the visible (by default) icon – no way to configure the network permission with W7FC.
W7 however offers a new feature – task bar customization including the ability to show an app on the task bar when the main app’s windows in hidden. W7FC utilizes the feature to show itself of the task bar and add small icons to the W7FC’s panel “image” for quick access (similar to rightclick menu on the system tray icon)
So with Windows 7 Task bar integration switched on you can
(a) see the W7FC button on the task bar even the main W7FC panel is hidden.
(b) pressing the button you can open the hidden W7FC panel
(c) navigating mouse on the button you can open iconized quick access menu (functionally similar to right click menu o the system tray icon)
