Notification popups + port monitoring

Notification popups + port monitoring

Postby Jerra » Fri Feb 26, 2010 10:00 pm

I didn't want to spam the suggestion-thread.
We need a setting to turn off the notification popups per rule.
Svchost.exe is always trying to connect Toredo (IPv6), but i already disabled it and blocked it in WFC.
But i still get these popup-notifications every 2 minutes.

I don't want to turn all popups off, i may miss something, but this specific one i would like to dismiss.

And i would like a function which monitors an application for the ports it is using.
So i run an application for an hour and afterwards i could see which ports it has used.
This helps when an application is using multiple ports and i want to know which ones to open in the firewall.
Usually i just use "Enable All" for two or three applications, but that is insecure.

You could switch the notification off for particular application only.

Did you try "netstat -b"?
