Installed using Windows Remote Desktop

Installed using Windows Remote Desktop

Postby KOC2000 » Sat Feb 18, 2012 3:36 am

Hello,

I wanted to try W7FC on my dedicated server, I downloaded the plus version and executed the installer, followed the wizard and left the check box to start the app and finally I clicked OK then BOOM! I'm disconnected from RDT and I cannot login again.

Although I have a 2nd machine connected directly to the blocked server using 192.168.0.x IPs I cannot connect with RDT from that 2nd machine too.

Any ideas how can I connect to the server again?

The server is XP or W7?

If EnableRemote was checked
you could install the product locally, the local installation should detect the server and allow controlling the remote (server's) installation directly from the local GUI. (the combobox at the bottom of the main panel)
You would need to adjust permissions for HostPorcess and System of the server (version dependent)
The default zone for the applications are Local+DNS+DHCP(svchost) and LocalSystem correspondingly.
The zone should include RDP related rule, the rule must be enabled.

FYI: The rule permits the default 3389 port only.
