CertificateServicesClient-AutoEnrollment

CertificateServicesClient-AutoEnrollment

Postby Purecut » Wed Nov 09, 2011 12:28 am

Hallo,

I use the Windows Firewall now for a long time without no error. But after installing the FirewallControl I get an error in the admin event log that the "CertificateServicesClient-AutoEnrollment" could not be placed. Please can you tell me the rule that I must be placed for this service. I cannot deal with errors that are coming up with the boot-up and login to the domain. The following services must run without any problems: CertificateServicesClient-AutoEnrollment, Logon, TimeService, Group Policy.

Once again I need the rule that the CertificateServicesClient-AutoEnrollment runs through the FirewallControl. I also see no block entry within the Firewall Control, because this happens before the desktop and system is complete ready. The AD will be loaded before everything - you should know this.

OS: Windows 7 _x64 SP1
Domain: Windows Server 2008 R2 _x64

Thanks

Most probably CertificateServicesClient is the incarnation of svchost (as there is no a dedicated item listed in W7FC).
So svchost must be set with a more permissive zone.
Blocked.log (of the installation folder) could help to investigate the required activity mistakenly blocked.
If the related events are not logged (due to the startup specifics), you could try to restart the related service (s) manually and check for the blocked events.
The related blocked events can be used to customize the zone set to svchost.
